Marsted Later Living

Barnet

The redevelopment of the former Watch Tower House and Kingdom Hall sites to create a new senior living village for over 65s, including affordable homes and new community and open spaces. The site is located at The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, a site within the Green Belt and Mill Hill Conservation Area with a historic TPO and significant level changes.

With a rich site history of forests, farming and a historic medieval route, the site will be transformed into an elderly living community with a strong focus on age specific design and connection with nature. The narrative of spaces takes residents on a slow-paced journey, through immersive planting and kitchen gardens, with opportunities for social interaction and enjoyment of past times. Adjacent to green belt land, this edge boundary will be enhanced, giving back to the local community by opening the surrounding green areas for public use.
