Gateway housing development in New Barnet

ExA worked closely with Fairview New Homes and Metropolis to develop the residential-led vision for Victoria Quarter, a new neighbourhood in New Barnet, North London. Transforming a former gasworks site, the scheme will deliver a vibrant mixed-use community with new homes, commercial space, and a strong landscape framework at its heart.

The landscape vision is rooted in celebrating local identity, strengthening connections, and promoting suburban ecology. A network of welcoming, well-located open spaces encourages social interaction, fostering a sense of ownership and belonging among residents.

New pedestrian and cycle routes improve connectivity across the site and beyond, linking to surrounding neighbourhoods and green spaces while supporting safe, attractive, and intuitive movement.

Integrated ecological strategies enhance biodiversity and bring nature into everyday life, creating a resilient landscape that supports health, wellbeing, and meaningful connections between people and place.
