Designing a Future-Ready Landscape for Innovation and Wellbeing
Elevate Quarter
ExA is leading the landscape strategy for the Stevenage Elevate Quarter, shaping a sustainable and connected campus alongside GSK’s Global R&D centre. The proposals respond to increasing demand for advanced commercial, laboratory and data-driven research spaces, supporting both emerging and established life science and technology firms.
The landscape vision for the campus is to create an adaptive, activated and healthy environment that supports innovation, well-being and everyday use. A connected network of flexible public spaces will form a vibrant campus core, encouraging social interaction, learning and collaboration while remaining inclusive and accessible throughout the year. The masterplan responds to its context through climate-responsive design, blue-green infrastructure and diverse planting that strengthens biodiversity and seasonal character.
Stevenage
Spaces for movement, recreation and quiet reflection are carefully integrated, promoting active lifestyles and a strong connection to nature. Embedded technology and opportunities for testing and experimentation further position the landscape as a dynamic, future-focused setting that evolves over time.
