Elevated podium gardens in the heart of the city
Coda
The Coda building in Battersea is a compact, yet refined example of contemporary residential landscape design in a dense urban context. As well as being home to over 500 residents this is the new home of the Royal Academy of Dance. The site is separated from the busy Battersea Park Road by some large mature Plane Trees, fundamental to the ground floor and public realm working was the retention of these trees and creating equitable access around the site and into the various building entrances. The podium gardens include a collection of beautifully landscaped spaces designed as places for retreat, socialising and informal use, with integrated play spaces throughout.
Wandsworth
The landscape at Coda is a compact, planting-led series of courtyards and podium gardens designed to provide calm, private amenity within a high-density residential development—prioritising atmosphere, softness and liveability over scale or public engagement.
