Leighton: 10 Years at ExA

This month we celebrate Director, Leighton Pace’s 10 years at Exterior Architecture.

Leighton joined long term collaborator and friend Sam Martin at ExA in November 2012 having worked in a number of seminal landscape firms across the globe.  Together they negotiated the practice into one of the UK’s leading, award winning landscape consultancies.  The practice now employs 40 staff, and has expanded beyond London by opening a successful office in Manchester’s city centre.

A number of significant projects highlight Leighton’s influence at ExA. These include his contribution to Battersea Power Station, delivering an award winning scheme at 245 Hammersmith Road,  gaining planning permission for 1 Waterloo, developing life science and campus and landscapes at the Harwell Campus and delivering the Holloway Prison site through planning and beyond.

Leighton would like to thank all the hard working Landscape Architects who have been part of team ExA and the numerous consultants and clients who have supported him and Exterior Architecture over the years.
