A landscape vision focussing on the relationship between natural and cultural systems for health and well-being.

Biostar

Berkshire

ExA are appointed to formulate the landscape proposals for the development at Biostar. ExA developed the landscape in collaboration with key stakeholders to promote a cohesive and consistent design language across the scheme, whilst seeking to mitigate technical and site-based constraints. The landscape vision focuses on the relationship between natural and cultural systems for health and well-being.

The scope is to divide the site into a series of Landscape Character areas. These create spatial variety within the site to promote and emphasise landscape aspects across the scheme in defined areas. A structured palette of hard and soft materials connects to the architectural facade to unify the various areas, prescribed by material use and activation of the ground plane.
