RIVERSIDE WHARF

Role         Landscape Architects
Client       Development Securities/Realstar
Budget     £500,000
Status      Built

SCOPE   Previously not considered, a landscape solution was required on a short time frame for a new building complex near the River Lee. No provision has been made for planting on podium or deck structures.  With a need to achieve CfSH credits, a tight programme to complete (4 months from concept to completion) and the client’s desire to have planting and trees above the deck level the design included a range of landscape approaches to achieve these aspirations.

EARTH MOUNDS AND IRRIGATION   Earth was mounded on the deck surface and artificial turf used to cover tree soils to enable immediate use of the space and installation of the soft landscape element.  The scope of the commission included an irrigation specialist on behalf of the client and the project was delivered on programme and budget.
