Carlos is a creative and innovative Architect with over a decade of experience leading BIM implementation across globally recognised, multidisciplinary design practices, including Foster + Partners. Specialising in BIM and Design Systems, Carlos brings a unique blend of architectural design thinking and technical excellence to every project he leads.

As BIM Manager at Exterior Architecture, Carlos oversees the strategic development and implementation of BIM workflows across the studio. He is responsible for training staff, embedding robust BIM processes, producing BIM documentation and protocols and ensuring that both company and industry standards are consistently met and exceeded. Under his leadership, ExA has adopted advanced collaborative methodologies through platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) enabling seamless coordination on complex, iconic projects across the globe.

Carlos works closely with internal design teams and external consultants to manage all BIM-related project requirements, fostering a studio-wide culture of innovation, efficiency, and digital collaboration. His pioneering work in pushing the boundaries of BIM for landscape architecture has enabled ExA to create more dynamic, integrated, and visually compelling outputs, enhancing project delivery and client satisfaction.
