THE SCHEME   This major development project in Hammersmith’s CBD is unique, involving redevelopment of the existing Bechtel House, creation of two new public spaces and significant improvements to an existing two-story podium structure.

ACTIVATION   ExA have developed a concept which centres around ‘activation, re-population and vegetation’ of the new and improved public spaces.

GATEWAY   The Plaza area to Hammersmith Road will create a new gateway into the development whilst improving permeability to a new row of ground floor commercial properties through the existing planting beds and trees.

PODIUM   The Podium level garden has been planned as a elevated green oasis, a place where people can meet and socialise in small number or where events, concerts and performances can take place on a stage which sits adjacent to a sloping lawn.
