A competition entry with a multi-disciplinary team including AR Urbanism and John Pardey Architects for a mixed use masterplan in Skovlunde, Copenhagen. The vision for the site was to introduce a new type of nature to urban living. A nature that combined the wildness with contemporary living. Trees refused to adhere to the confines of the urban grid and instead spread though the site (and up buildings…) in a series of organic green pods.  The use of play, food production and beer drinking ‘pods’ enable a number of landscape functions to be integrated into the landscape which addressed the immediate use, whether commercial or residential.  The main dividing road which bisected the site was re-dressed as a spatial ‘zipper’, which used decreasing distances between trees to build anticipation and drama on the approach to the main pedestrian crossing.
