A residential space to stimulate imagination though social interventions, enhanced diversity and embellishment of the local historical character.

Montford Place

Kennington

The site is located on the eastern side of Montford Place in Kennington, South London. It is well connected due to its proximity to Vauxhall, Kennington and the Oval tube stations, all within a 10min walk. The proposed scheme provides 139 build to rent homes.

The landscape approach aims is to create a living and working landscape that stimulates the imagination though social interventions, enhanced diversity and embellishment of the local historical character.

The scheme introduces high quality living and working mews at the heart of the development which is adaptable and flexible to accommodate pop-up markets, street food vendors and a variety of events. Breakout spaces will be used by people working in the industrial spaces during the week and residents in the evenings and weekends.

The landscape includes attractive roof gardens offering a variety of outdoor amenity space for residents and play opportunities for young children and a planting strategy designed to provide ecological enhancements, visual interest and natural features to the whole site.

The two roof gardens provide residents with great opportunities to meet and socialise. They include play for young children and incorporate a variety of other functions, making them inclusive and accessible for all user groups.
