'Testing the Water' Exeter Parks Masterplan

On Sunday 27th September, 6 members of EA's London office travelled down to Exeter to help at a public event promoting the Exeter Valley Parks and gathering ideas from local users for the future.

As well as apple pressing, seed bomb making, bug hotel creation and smoothie bikes, the EA team had big boards with aerial views of the parks on show. Passers-by were encouraged to add flags with ideas, suggestions and comments for the future. Users were keen to comment on topics like signage and information boards in the park, opportunities for stopping and resting, as well as thinking about opportunities for wildlife enhancement and conservation strategies.

The ideas collected will be assimilated and fed into the Exeter Valley Parks Masterplan that is currently being produced by EA in association with the Exeter Parks Team and East Devon Growth Point's Green Infrastructure Project.
