Iconic regeneration and mixed use development
After the sale of Battersea Power Station, EA and LDA Design were appointed to progress the early phases of one of London's most iconic landmarks. The scope included all public realm spaces around two new residential buildings, a new riverside walk adjacent to the Thames, residential gardens located on podiums and creation of the 'Halo' around the Power Station. A significant part of this commission was the variety of planting required. Here species selection, technical interfaces with the design team on drainage, lighting and temperature were researched, advised on and overcome as part of the design process. The team also completed a temporary park (still live) at the river front to the power station.
